Here all all of the Rangers' unrestricted free agents who are set to hit the open market on July 1.
The New York Rangers are in store for a busy offseason.
Here are all of the players currently on the Rangers who are set to become unrestricted free agents.
Alex Wennberg:
The Rangers acquired Alex Wennberg from the Seattle Kraken at the NHL Trade Deadline this past season for a 2024 second-round pick and conditional pick in 2025.
In 35 games with the Rangers including playoffs, Wennberg had two goals, five assists and seven points.
The 29-year-old served a solid two-way forward role through his short stint with the Rangers.
Jack Roslovic:
Similar to Wennberg, the Rangers got Jack Roslovic at the Trade Deadline from the Columbus Blue Jackets for a conditional pick in 2026.
In 25 games, Roslovic tallied five goals, 11 assists and 16 points.
The 27-year-old played up and down the lineup during his time in New York and provided some speed, helping bolster the Rangers’ offense through the latter half of the year.
Erik Gustafsson:
Erik Gustafsson signed with the Rangers last summer to a one-year, $825,000 contract and played a substantial role throughout the entirety of the season.
The 32-year-old defenseman played 76 regular season games for the Rangers where he had six goals, 25 assists and 31 points while averaging 17:25 minutes of ice time.
Gustafsson served as the only defenseman on the second wave of the power play and certainly overachieved for the contract he was given.
Blake Wheeler:
The Rangers signed Wheeler to a one-year $800,000 contract this past offseason.
At 37-years-old, Wheeler was still able to make an impact for New York through the first half of the season, tallying nine goals, 12 assists and 21 points in 54 games.
Wheeler suffered a leg injury in February, which kept him out for the remainder of the regular season and majority of the playoffs.
Chad Ruhwedel:
The Rangers acquired Chad Ruhwedel at the Trade Deadline from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for a 2027 fourth-round pick.
The 34-year-old defenseman played in just five games for the Rangers, failing to record a point.
