Tamra Judge hoped to be a calming force on “The Real Housewives of Orange County” – with a little help from a fellow Housewives star.
On the March 11 edition of the “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast, the veteran Bravo star reacted when guest Cynthia Bailey said she tried to be “the voice of reason” on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
“That’s a position I need, Cynthia. I need that position,” Judge said.
When Bailey noted that Judge was in the “drama position,” Judge replied, “Trying not to, trying not to. My old bones can’t take it anymore.”
Bailey said she’d help Judge go from “the drama queen to the peacemaker.”
“To the voice of reason,” Judge agreed.
The “Two Ts” episode was taped before Judge seemingly quit RHOC during a cast trip in New Orleans. On March 9, Judge shared a cryptic post to her Instagram stories to hint that she quit the show while filming scenes for season 19.
“It was a long run! When life gives you real problems this reality [expletive] doesn’t make sense. Peace out ✌️ Im out,” Judge wrote on her Instagram story.
After fan account @atasteofreality reshared the post with the question, “Tamra Judge just posted this….Is Tamra quitting??,” Judge replied to the post with, “Yes!!!”
Judge later posted an Instagram story from an airport, presumably on her way out of New Orleans. “Mental health is health,” she wrote.
The 19th season of RHOC has Judge reuniting with her on-and-off nemesis Gretchen Rossi. Rossi’s unexpected return to the show comes amid a 12-year absence, per BravoTV.com.
According to a report by the U.S. Sun, a production source claimed that Judge quit the show amid “a shouting match with Gretchen and Shannon [Beador].” “She said she’s done for good but if the money is right, she will be back,” the insider added.
Andy Cohen & Others Reacted to Tamra Judge’s Walk-Out
Bravo has not confirmed that Judge officially quit the show. But “Real Housewives” executive producer Andy Cohen addressed Judge’s alleged resignation on the March 10 episode of Sirius XM’s “Andy Cohen Live.”
“I got the report of what happened last night,” Cohen told his radio audience. “All I will say is this. I can’t comment on what’s going on while we’re filming shows. I guess the only thing that is at the top of my mind is that one of her best friends, if not her best friend, is going through an incredibly intense health crisis. So maybe keep that in mind, otherwise I really don’t have anything to say on the subject.”
Cohen’s reference was to the health crisis of Judge’s close friend and podcast co-host Teddi Mellencamp, who recently underwent emergency brain surgery and revealed that additional tumors were found on her lungs.
Mellencamp’s close friend Kyle Richards also reacted to Judge’s possible departure from ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County.”
During a March 11 Amazon Livestream, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum said the news about Judge quitting the Real Housewives was “not surprising.”
“It can be extremely overwhelming,” Richards said of the pressures of the Housewives franchise. “We’ll see, I don’t know what will happen with that.”
