Teddi Mellencamp speaks out after attempted burglary at her LA home

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp is breathing a sigh of relief after a terrifying attempted burglary at her Encino home.

The incident occurred late at night when an intruder reportedly tried to break into the residence she shares with her husband Edwin Arroyave and their children. According to sources, the family’s security system was triggered in time, causing the would-be burglar to flee the scene before gaining entry.

Authorities were called immediately, and no one was harmed. Mellencamp later took to social media to reassure fans, writing:

“We’re all safe. The alarm did its job and we are beyond grateful.”

This is not the first time Encino homes have been targeted in recent months. The neighborhood, known for its celebrity residents and luxurious properties, has seen a troubling rise in break-in attempts—prompting several stars, including Mellencamp, to reevaluate their home security measures.

Fans flooded the comment section with supportive messages, some pointing out that this could’ve ended very differently. Others praised Teddi’s transparency and quick action in addressing the event.

While visibly shaken, Teddi emphasized that her focus now is on protecting her family and raising awareness for others:

“I share this not to scare you, but to remind everyone to double-check your safety. Things can happen fast.”
