Teddi Mellencamp’s mystery man is no longer a mystery. After weeks of speculation, the former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star’s new boyfriend has been identified. The couple made headlines in June after being spotted on a PDA-filled stroll, and now, fans are learning more about the man by her side. While Mellencamp has kept much of the relationship private, she has confirmed that he’s been a steady support during her health battle.
New Romance Revealed: Teddi Mellencamp Dating Producer Ricci Rea
Teddi Mellencamp’s mystery man has been revealed as television producer Ricci Rea, according to the Daily Mail, which confirmed his identity a month after the pair were first spotted getting cozy in Los Angeles.
Rea maintains a low public profile and doesn’t appear to have social media. However, his LinkedIn shows he’s worked as an event producer for Apple TV+ and Fox and as a line producer for Done & Dusted. He’s currently a senior producer at the boutique creative agency Dorothy.
Mellencamp, 44, first confirmed the romance in June and has since opened up about the backlash she’s received for dating while facing a stage 4 cancer diagnosis. On her podcast Two Ts in a Pod, Mellencamp addressed the criticism directly.
“People have been coming for me,” she told listeners. “‘The only thing she should be worrying about right now are her kids and staying alive.’” She added, “If I want to put myself in a situation where I’m staying busy so I’m not getting depressed, why have a problem with that?”
She praised Rea as a “very kind” man who has taken “good care” of her. Mellencamp also confirmed that Rea is single, child-free, and prefers to remain out of the public eye.
This is Mellencamp’s first public relationship since splitting from husband Edwin Arroyave in late 2023 after 13 years of marriage. The exes, who share two children, have remained amicable during Mellencamp’s cancer journey and recently reunited to attend their daughter Slate’s school graduation.

In addition to the criticism over dating, Mellencamp has also faced backlash for fostering a dog while undergoing cancer treatment. On the same episode of her podcast, she explained why staying busy helps her mental health.
“Fostering this new puppy has been really nice, and it’s given the kids a new source of happiness,” she said. “I’m working out four or five times a week. I’m at least feeling better.”
Her doctor has also supported her decision to keep living her life fully. “My doctor said, ‘Just because something happened to someone else doesn’t mean it’s going to happen to you. You should be having fun and trying to laugh,’” Mellencamp recalled.
Co-host and RHOC star Tamra Judge wasn’t shy about clapping back at internet trolls either. “Life doesn’t stop because you have cancer,” she said. “Shut the (expletive) up, honestly.”
