Tee Hіggіnѕ' vаgue poѕt һаѕ Bengаlѕ fаnѕ buzzіng аmіd contrаct drаmа

Tee Higgins is one of the most interesting points around the Cincinnati Bengals this offseason.

Now that the offseason has technically arrived in the wake of the Super Bowl, speculation has started to ramp up about what the Bengals might do.

Higgins, it seems, saw the fan discourse and dropped the following line on social media: “Ima let yall know first.”

Good luck figuring out what that actually means.

Bengals predicted to trade Tee Higgins for $94 million star defender | Sporting News

Higgins’ note there actually comes in the wake of his head-turning comments during an actual interview, in which he pointed out that things are out of his control — he’d like to stay with the Bengals but also understands that he could wind up on another team.

The Bengals and Higgins have options. They could agree on a long-term extension, which seemed to be where things were heading after his agent change and Joe Burow’s endless assault on the front office in public.

If not, the Bengals could apply the franchise tag at roughly $26 million, which might pace below the $30 million average annual value he might be able to fetch in free agency.

Keep in mind that a franchise tag doesn’t necessarily mean a tag-and-trade is on the way. The tag could also just buy both sides extra time to work on an extension.

Whatever happens, it doesn’t sound like Bengals fans will have to wait long after to find out.
