TEEN Mom and The Challenge star Cory Wharton left his longtime girlfriend Taylor Selfridge off the deed for their palatial Los Angeles home one year before their split.
Teen Mom's Cory, 34, and Taylor, 30, moved into a custom-built mansion in the Los Angeles suburbs last year, after buying the land for $1.7 million in 2023- and there was a sign that all was not well in the relationship.
According to LA court documents, Cory is the only person listed on the January 2024 property deed, not Taylor.
Cory happily posed with Taylor in front of the home while under construction in November 2023.
"Ask me 10 years ago, if I thought I would have a family of 3 little princesses, be building a home from the dirt up, and still have my sanity. I would’ve thought you were crazy. But here we are, the house is almost done," he captioned the photo.
It is unclear why Taylor, the mother of his daughters Mila, 5, and Maya, nearly 3, was left off the deed.
t is also unclear who will get the home in the split- though if Cory is on the deed, it appears he is the rightful owner of the property.
Cory did not immediately respond to The U.S. Sun's request for comment.
STUNNING PROPERTY
In professional photos, it appears the sleek, modern property boasts a spacious chef's kitchen, massive pool, hot tub, electric fire pit and even an outdoor kitchen.
"It's crazy to think that we started with a dirt lot and we built something that my family is gonna get to cherish," Cory captioned a video of his sprawling backyard. "I’m proud of myself."
Cory has admitted to regretful behavior in the past in his relationship with Taylor, including cheating.
"Taylor doesn’t trust me because I cheated on her five years ago and I regret it every day," he said on Teen Mom: Family Reunion in 2024.
“I need to do the best I can do to make sure to rebuild that trust between me and Taylor because right now, it’s dragging us down like an anchor.”
Taylor admitted she "wasn't over" the cheating, despite the incident happening long before the season aired.
"Cory just wants me to get over it because it happened so long ago... Yes, it happened five years ago but I’m not over it yet and I feel like it’s something we haven’t worked through yet.
“I’m definitely still holding a grudge about it. I don’t forget. That’s the problem. I’ll always think there could be something. It’s hard when someone breaks your trust like that."
Taylor and Cory often fought over him not proposing to her, despite nearly a decade and two kids together. (They also help raise Cory's daughter Ryder, 8, from his past relationship with Cheyenne Floyd.)
"I just feel like it's taking too long at this point for me," she said on the show. "We've been together six f**king years. If you love me that much, wouldn't you just do it?"
As The U.S. Sun exclusively reported, Cory and Taylor split last week.
Cory is currently on a trip to Bali with his friend Nelson Thomas, and has been posting cryptic song lyrics.
"I know the truth is you won't love me until I'm gone," he quoted Drake's Emotionless as he stood in front of a temple.
