Mackenzie Douthit recently talked in detail about the hate she is getting for the names of her twin daughters. She welcomed twin daughters a month ago after several health complications. She had surgically tied her tubes, so she had to undergo several fertility procedures. Moreover, she is type-1 diabetic, so her pregnancy journey was even more critical. She faced several health challenges.
She even gained 20 pounds overnight due to water retention. As a result, she underwent an emergency C-section. Soon enough, she gave birth to twin daughters. Mackenzie and her husband, Khesanio Hall, named their daughters Ja’Kharie Angie and Ja’Meikah Angella. Their middle names were chosen to honor her late mom, Angie, and Hall’s mother, Angella. Now, Mackenzie has revealed how she got immense hate for their name.
Teen Mom: Mackenzie Celebrates As Her Daughters Return Home!
Teen Mom star Mackenzie McKee is celebrating a major milestone as her newborn twin daughters are finally reunited after spending 10 days apart in the NICU. Despite facing medical challenges, including diabetes and previously having her tubes tied, Mackenzie conceived the twins via IVF and gave birth on June 2.
On July 9, she shared a heartfelt Facebook post showing the girls side-by-side in cribs, captioning it, “Home! With two healthy babies, God is good.” While some fans critiqued their outfits, others defended her, noting Florida’s summer heat. Grateful and emotional, Mackenzie thanked Jesus and is now embracing motherhood with Hall.
Ja’Kharie Angie and Ja’Meikah Angella are indeed beautiful names, but the world may not agree with it. Mackenzie revealed that after she shared her daughters’ names on social media, she started receiving immense hate. Many did not like the names and began to lecture her on how she destroyed her daughters’ lives.
To them, the names were beautiful, but as soon as they shared them with the world, “s**t hit the fan.” The hate was so extreme that it overshadowed the happiness of their birth. The hate affected her a lot, as no one was happy for them. No one commented on how glad they were that she was alive. No one congratulated them for their happiness or expressed how happy they were that the girls were healthy. It was all about the names and how people hated them.
Mackenzie further explained that Khesanio came up with the names, as she wanted him to have the experience of naming his kids. How can people expect that she should tell her spouse to fall out of love with the names just because they are not good as per many people’s standards? She further added that people wanted her to tell him that these are too ‘Black.’ She was absolutely not, in hell, going to do that. Moreover, she loved the names.
All of Hall’s side of the family has grandkids’ names that start with ‘J,’ and they wanted the same. They have four-syllable names that are uncommon and rarely heard of. She knew people would hate the names and flip. She even warned Hall about it, especially because she is white. However, they went along because they liked the names, and the world can think what it wants. For more exciting news updates, stay tuned to TV Season & Spoilers.
