Mackenzie McKee Spoke About Raising a Teenager
During “The Drew Barrymore Show” interview, McKee spoke about raising a teenager. She said the situation has been “really hard.”
“With teenagers, you let go of a lot of control. Because you’re sending them out in the real world. So you have to teach them how to survive in that,” said McKee.
She also said she is committed on having a “very open line of communication” with Gannon. She explained that she did not have important conversations with her parents until she revealed she was pregnant at age 16.
“I want to be 10 steps ahead. Because whether we think they are being exposed to this stuff or not, unfortunately when you send them out to the real world, they are. So I feel like it’s my job as a mom to teach my now preteens how to survive out there,” said McKee.
