Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa Giudice and Danielle Staub's friendship has been strained for years, which is why comments made about Staub recently may shock some fans.
When Giudice flipped a table during an altercation with Staub at the end of Season 1, it didn't seem they'd ever be friends again. But when Staub returned to the Bravo reality show, Staub and Giudice mended fences and joined forces against Margaret Josephs.
But that fell apart fast when Staub pulled Josephs' ponytail during a shopping trip blow-up, and it was revealed that Giudice told her to do it. Giudice was upset that Staub called her out, but later admitted to Josephs that she encouraged her to "do it!"
Despite the latter falling out and Staub's Season 10 exit, Giudice has always had love for her on-again, off-again friend, and now she's giving her props again.
When Giudice joined her daughter, Gia Giudice, on a recent episode of her Casual Chaos podcast, she was full of compliments for her former RHONJ co-star.
While talking about the start of RHONJ and how each of the women ended up casting for the Bravo series, Giudice said, "Danielle was made back like she was TV gold. She really was, like, she was awesome. Just... she put it all out there, literally put it all out on the table."
The OG RHONJ star described her relationship with Staub, continuing with the compliments when she opened up about the iconic table flip, possibly the most memorable moment in Real Housewives history.
"She was fun and very easygoing, just so much fun, even though in the beginning, she was insulting me a little bit," Giudice said. "That's what made me flip the table on her, you know?"
She explained, "Because she would just throw these little jabs at me, like she said to Joe, 'Don't speak to me like you speak to your wife.' Stuff like that. And then I'm the type where I take it, I take it, I take it, and then when I don't take it anymore, I explode."
While they may not be best friends now, Giudice and Staub have since mended their relationship and seem to have a mutual respect for each other. Giudice admitted, "I ended up getting to know her, and then look, we ended up making up later on."
