The Bold and the Beautiful Recap, May 15, 2025: Carter eavesdrops, jumps to the wrong conclusion

Here is your The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Thursday, May 15, 2025, when Carter made the wrong assumption after listening in on a private conversation because he has spent too many years at Forrester Creations.

What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

At Forrester Creations, Carter was still thinking about Hope when Daphne arrived, closed the door, and went into her usual shtick about how Carter needed to move on and Hope wasn't the woman for him.

"Hope is never far from your thought, is she?" Daphne asked, not realizing this was a red flag that should send her in the other direction. Carter avoided the question and began talking about work. Daphne turned the subject back to herself and told Carter she needed to find a new place.

Daphne admitted she was more concerned about Carter than herself. "I'm worried that you're setting yourself up for an even bigger fall because of Hope," she said. She told Carter that she'd been asking people about Hope. "I learned about her history with men. It's not a pretty picture, Carter, you know that," Daphne added.

Carter claimed he was in no position to judge Hope after his debacle of a romance with Quinn. "What if Hope isn't the woman you think she is?" Daphne asked, but Carter just laughed off her concerns. "Maybe you should protect your heart before Hope breaks it again," Daphne suggested.

Carter was annoyed when Daphne said Hope would just end up with Liam again. "Here's the thing, Daphne. You think you know Hope, but you don't...I believe we can be happy again, and I am determined to make that happen. I believe in Hope and I believe in our future," Carter said before walking out.

Liam promised to always be in Hope and Beth's hearts, even after he was gone. Hope just wept at the thought of Liam no longer in her life. "I'm not giving up hope. I still believe that maybe the doctors will be able to find some sort of treatment," she said.

Liam wanted to believe that, too, but so far, they have not been very optimistic. Hope vowed to be there for Liam every step of the way. Hope was pouring Liam a glass of water when he suddenly had excruciating head pain. The pain soon subsided, but Hope was still alarmed.

Liam admitted that these episodes were happening more frequently, but refused to let Hope take him to the hospital. "I would love to just stay here with you, cause you're the best medicine for me anyway," Liam said. Liam reminisced about the happy life they shared. "It would help if we could think about all those good memories together," Liam added.

Liam asked Hope to take a "power walk down memory lane." Flashbacks ensued before Liam spoke again. "Hope, we had our chapter. It was a really, really good chapter, but you have to move on, and you have a future with Carter if you want it," Liam said.

"No, I still want my future with you. You, Beth, me. Our little family. I want to spend every moment with you, Liam, and we'll make the most of it. I promise you. We will. We're going to be together," Hope said. Hope also had no idea Carter was doing what every person associated with Forrester Creations seems to do — he was listening at the door.

Steffy told Finn that Hope would have a hard time not letting Liam know she knew he was dying, and she was right. "Hope having to hide it in front of him. And Liam knows him so well. What was I doing? Should I have told her?" Steffy asked, now doubting her decision.

Finn assured his wife that she did the right thing. "You did what you thought was best for Liam and for Hope, too. I doubt he'll be upset with that, not for long anyway," Finn said. He knew how important it was for Liam to have as much support as possible.

Just then, Taylor walked in. She took one look at Steffy's face and asked her what was wrong. Steffy claimed she was fine, but Taylor didn't buy it. "I know my daughter and I know when something's wrong and she doesn't want to burden me with it," Taylor said.

Finn gave Steffy a little nod, signaling that it was okay if Steffy told her mom, so she broke down and informed Taylor that Liam was dying. Taylor could barely believe what she heard. She was also surprised that Liam's doctors seemed to be giving up when Liam wasn't. "He's determined to be around for his girls as long as possible," Steffy said.

Steffy begged Taylor not to tell anyone, not even Ridge. However, she was relieved that Taylor knew because now Taylor could be a part of her support system. Steffy also confessed that she told Hope, but Taylor thought Steffy did the right thing. She promised to support both Steffy and Hope.
