The Commanders have a plan for Marshon Lattimore's return from injury — and to the Superdome

Marshon Lattimore is on track to return from his hamstring injury — just in time for a reunion with the New Orleans Saints.

Washington Commanders coach Dan Quinn told reporters Monday that Lattimore had "hit all the marks until now" in his rehab from a hamstring injury, including "lots of top-speed running" and that the team plans to have the star cornerback practice in full this week, including a workout Monday coming off of Washington's bye week.

The Saints traded Lattimore to the Commanders on Nov. 5 for a package of draft picks including a third-rounder. Washington made the trade despite Lattimore's hamstring injury, and he hasn't played for the Commanders yet.

But that appears to be changing just in time for Washington's visit to New Orleans at noon Sunday.

"We're very encouraged about all the work that he and the medical team put in," Quinn told reporters. "... We've put him through a lot of tests, and he's hit all the marks up until now."

Quinn said Lattimore, who last played Oct. 27 when the Saints visited the Chargers, would continue to ramp up activity during practice this week with hopes to play Sunday.
