It was an action-packed week in Genoa City!
The Young and the Restless knows how to bring the drama and May 5-9 was no exception. From Phyllis falling off the good girl wagon to Diane’s emotional outburst, we were kept on our toes every day this week!
Phyllis Became Unglued
It was always only a matter of time before Red’s (Michelle Stafford) fiery temper came out to play again and Billy (Jason Thompson) gave her all the ammo she needed on Monday. While Billy and Sally (Courtney Hope) were toasting…themselves, Phyllis began to plot their downfall. Billy can say he did what he did for Phyllis’s own wellbeing but who is he to tell her what she needs?! Who is he to care about her welfare?! Phyllis knows best and now Billy and Sally must pay. We can’t wait to see what tricks she pulls out of her sleeve and what hell is coming to the Genoa City hot couple.
Diane’s Breakdown
Poor, sweet Diane (Susan Walters). Try as she might, she’s just not accepted into the Abbott fold…at least not by Billy. On Tuesday’s episode, she broke down in Jack’s (Peter Bergman) arms and cried a sea of soulful tears about his little brother not liking her – or the changes she made to the sprawling home. All she wants is her past forgiven and to be part of the family. But, with a past like hers, can she blame Billy for keeping those walls up? She did try to fake her own murder all those years ago. Sure, sure, Billy isn’t exactly the epitome of saintly behavior, but he’s got nothing on Diane’s past schemes and drama. What will it take to bring this family together? Is there anything Diane can do to win Billy over?
Claire’s Bold Move
Claire (Hayley Erin) confronted Victor (Eric Braeden) on Friday, declaring her plan to move in with Kyle (Michael Mealor). Victor’s response was harsh, of course, and he refused to support her. So much so, he stormed off, vowing to “take care of this.” Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) tried to reason with Victor, warning that his revenge on Kyle could hurt Claire too. She wasn’t about to bend to her granddad’s will, though. She left the house feeling pretty good about herself. But, should she? She poked the bear and there’s always a price to pay when anyone crosses The Great Victor Newman
