The Valley Recap: Brittany Reveals Jax’s $1.2M Tax Debt, Accuses Him of Stalking as She Packs His Things and Files for Divorce Before His Rehab Exit, Plus Britt Takes Over the Bar for the Night and Darkside Danny Clashes With Janet

On this episode of  The ValleyBrittany officially files for divorce two days before Jax is to be released from his “rehab,” a term loosely used considering all of the rage texting and stalking he was able to do while bettering himself.  As Jax’s bar gets transformed to Britt’s for the night, Janet and Darkside Danny go at it once again.  While the rest of the group rallies around Brittany, Jesse solemnly worries about what’s to come when Jax returns…

Kristen and Luke are hosting a housewarming, despite not being fully moved in. As the group gathers in the yard, Zack chats with his friend, Jenna, a familiar face from Vanderpump days.  Because this group is not incestual enough, Jenna shares that she used to date AaronMichelle‘s new boyfriend.  Zack loves a messy moment so he sends Jenna Jesse’s way and she spills the tea.

Jenna actually dated Aaron twice and as recent as a year and a half ago.  Jesse enjoys trying to figure out the timeline of Aaron and Michelle’s relationship, so this is a huge piece of the puzzle.  In fact, he wonders if Jenna was the girl Michelle allegedly caught Aaron with (according to rumors)? Jesse is absolutely convinced that Aaron is THE guy that Michelle cheated with, so he appreciates Jenna’s information.

In the meantime, things are still awkward with Janet, Jason, Danny, and Nia.  Danny is frustrated that Janet likes to stir the pot and attack his character in a malicious way. And Jasmine is busy trying to make amends with Janet and Jason.  She claims that she attacked only because she felt ganged up on and invites the couple to have a conversation about their issues when her girlfriend, Melissa, is back in town.

Luke is trying to surprise Kristen with a surprise proposal trip in Hawaii and he is counting on Danny to keep Detective Doute off the case.

As Luke preps for marriage, Brittany shares her woes about Jax, her estranged hubby.  Remember when Jax’s sister told Brittany he was going to the hospital?  Yea, well, Brittany tells Janet and Jason that Jax manipulated the front desk person of the rehab to act like he had a medical emergency.  He forced this poor woman to cry and act like there was a true problem.  Like, what kind of rehab is this?! On top of that, Brittany’s freaking out about this mortgage, considering Jax wants to split the podcast 50/50.

Later, Michelle pays a visit to Lala’s house.  Michelle talks about coparenting with Jesse and opens up about her mother, a topic she rarely discusses on camera.  Michelle’s mother got sick about a year ago with stage 4 colon cancer.  Her mom, her best friend, is on her second round of chemo treatment and Michelle is trying to work through this situation.

Jasmine and Melissa are heading out for drinks with Janet and Jason for THE meet up. Jason explains that he has had a friendship with Jasmine for over 8 years and he explains that he is confused by this rumor Jasmine is spreading. Jasmine claims that she never told Kristen, never talked about it, nor did she repeat it. Jasmine is backtracking now (as the video clips show), but at the end of the day, they all want this behind them.

Jason wonders where the resentment towards Janet came from and Jasmine apologizes for coming in so hot at the moment. LOL @ Janet saying she had to look up the definition of a Karen. Janet realizes that Jasmine is not the mastermind here, and in her opinion, Jasmine is the mouth for the actual mastermind: Kristen.

In his video vlog, Jax talks about his excitement to leave the facility and explains that he knows that he has a lot of apologizing to do.  In the meantime, Brittany is hosting a fast food party so that everyone can pack up Jax’s belongings.  It is time to get his stuff out of the house.  If anyone says the word “Jax,” they have to take a shot. As everyone rallies around Brittany, Michelle wonders why she is not getting the same support as Brittany…

They all proceed to throw Jax’s sh*t into garbage bags and go as far as separating his shoes so he has to work to find the pair. LOL. Brittany still loves Jax, so this is hard for her since she never thought they would be where they are today.

But that doesn’t stop her from meeting with a lawyer.  Brittany fills the lawyer in on her marriage and the timeline of the “separation.” She explains that Jax’s blow ups have become more and more aggressive (throwing furniture and punching walls) and shows the lawyer his rage texting.  It is clear that Jax is stalking Brittany.

Brittany goes on to say that Jax always paid the mortgage, but he was behind on it.  Their mortgage is SUPER high because he was behind on his taxes.  And so, their mortgage went from $8,000 to $17,000 A MONTH.  Because of Jax’s debt, the IRS went and took out $100,000 from Brittany’s account because she is married to him.

Brittany is unsure what Jax’s financial contribution is going to be in the future and she states that she is scared of the situation she is in.  Brittany files for divorce before even leaving the meeting. The real question is, how the HELL was Jax able to get this new apartment with that credit?!

Zack, being the petty friend that he is, has transformed Jax’s bar into Britt’s, up to and including erasing his name from the sign out front.  He has replaced all of the pictures of Jax with Brittany, and we all know how p*ssed off Jax is going to be once he hears about this.

On the way to the bar, Brittany shares with Kristen that she has officially filed for divorce from Jax, but she is feeling guilty that she did so on the day before he comes home from rehab.

It takes Brittany a minute, but when she sees Britt’s sign out front of the bar, she becomes ecstatic.  Michelle explains that she feels weird because she is going through the same thing as Brittany, but she feels like no one cares.  She feels unsupported as she navigates the divorce with Jesse and her mother being sick.

Kristen takes a moment to be sure things are okay with Janet and Jason because she realizes that Janet has not yet this ring thing go.  Kristen wants to clear the air with this game of telephone and Danny, who has been imbibing quite a bit, is ready to call Janet out for what went down between them. Danny pokes Janet and Nia is mortified that Danny is inserting himself, warning him not to speak for someone else.  When she realizes that even she can’t control “Danny Darko,” Jesse is able to get him away from the conversation.  Janet thinks Danny is wasted and shouts, “my husband’s not the one out her grabbing a*ses,” proof that Janet really just does not know when to say when. Nia is frustrated that Danny kept poking at Janet, but also, why does Janet insist on coming at him?

Danny calls Janet a snake as she lies and tries to stir the pot.  Janet feels like Danny is mad at himself and is displacing his anger.  According to Janet, he is blaming Janet for talking about what Danny does with drinking, instead of confronting what he does.

Jesse remains sober for the night, as he is picking Jax up at rehab tomorrow and he is not really looking forward to him finding out about this whole bar-party name change. There is clearly a divide amongst the group and Jesse doesn’t like that it seems as though everyone is trying to get Jax to regress the minute he comes out. Brittany lets Jesse know that she has Jax by his balls and he needs to start understand the fact that she is demanding his respect.  To be continued…
