The Valley's Michelle Saniei Claims Jesse's Drinking Was Factor in Divorce, Admits to "Mistake" at End of Marriage, and Shares Trip Regret, Plus If She'll Marry Boyfriend Aaron, and Janet & Zack's Feud

Michelle Saniei appeared on Tuesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, where she opened up about her divorce, marriage, and strained relationship with estranged husband Jesse Lally.

While also looking back at the recent events of The Valley, offering an update on her and Jesse’s co-parenting relationship, and sharing her thoughts on marrying her current boyfriend, Aaron Nosler, Michelle revealed which co-star she’d least want to have babysit her daughter, Isabella, 5, and explained when she knew her and Jesse’s marriage was over.

“I asked him to change in so many ways in terms of, like, even his drinking, and he couldn’t drink less, and that was just really hard for me, and it took a toll in our marriage, so I decided, it’s now or never,” Michelle revealed on the May 6 episode of WWHL.

Although Jesse “had all these theories” about her potential cheating, Michelle insisted she didn’t cheat, nor did she hook up with a billionaire — or that “famous director,” Quentin Tarantino, 62. As for Kristen Doute‘s claim that she had a boyfriend amid season one, Michelle denied that as well, and she alluded to something else.

“At the end of my marriage, there was something that happened. I made a mistake. I was very clear, and I told Jesse, and I was very honest. So he knows the truth,” she stated.

While it was initially thought that the honey in her pantry was a sign that her relationship with Aaron began sooner than she claimed, Michelle insisted she got the jar “at a hiking trail called Runyon” before gifting Andy Cohen, 56, a product from her boyfriend’s honey company, The Kilo Company.

Looking back at her behavior on The Valley, Michelle admitted it wasn’t right of her to have insisted Jesse stay at a hotel during their visit to Santa Barbara, since he was the one who organized the trip.

“It was a very weak moment. I shouldn’t have done that. I should’ve just decided not to go,” she confessed. “I was going through so many emotions, and I was just really upset, and I just thought that we couldn’t be in the same house, sleeping under one house, so I should’ve been the bigger person to stay at a hotel, but it is what it is. We all make mistakes.”

Moving on to their co-parenting relationship, Michelle said Isabella was doing “really good” with their new dynamic.

“I’ve always said, I think we are amazing parents. We love her so much. She’s our number one priority, so I know when he’s with her, she’s well taken care of and vice versa,” she shared.

Then, reflecting on Jesse getting emotional about their daughter during their gratitude circle on Tuesday’s The Valley, Michelle explained that her ex is “a very emotional person.”

“It makes sense. He had been drinking the whole time. He started drinking early in the morning cuz he was on a trip,” she noted.

While she and Jesse aren’t yet divorced, Michelle is already looking ahead to a potential marriage to Aaron.

“I definitely can see that happening,” she stated. “I hope for the best, and we’re very compatible and very good with one another. We rarely fight, and he’s amazing with Isabella too.”

According to Michelle, there’s one Valley guy she would least want to babysit Isabella, and that guy is “probably [Jax Taylor].”

As for whether Brittany Cartwright, 36, was wrong to tell Janet Caperna, 34, what Zack Wickham, 36, said about her pregnancy last season, Michelle admitted to feeling that Brittany made the right decision.

“Brittany should’ve told her. She deserved to know. It was a big deal,” she noted.

Also on the live broadcast, Michelle was asked if Janet or Zack was “more loyal” to Brittany.

“That’s a really hard one because they’re both really close to her in different ways. I feel like maybe Janet. Sorry, I love [Zack],” she explained.

Later, on the WWHL: After Show, Michelle was questioned about whether it bothered her that Jesse had told Jax about their Santa Barbara trip, since it led Jax to go off on Brittany.

“It’s not surprising. Jesse will be the first one to let anybody know everything. He cannot keep a secret,” she replied.

The Valley season two airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
