There is a major reason fans should be optimistic that the Colts can turn things around this season

After starting the season 0-2, the Indianapolis Colts finally got on the board in the win collum in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears.

They are now 1-2 and second in the AFC South standings behind the 2-1 Houston Texans.

The 2024 season hasn't gotten off to the start the Colts or their fans were hoping for. But according to ESPN the remainder of their schedule is very friendly, and fans should be optimistic that the team can right this ship.

According to ESPN's most recent power rankings, the Colts have the second-easiest remaining schedule in the NFL, behind only the Philadelphia Eagles. For reference, the Colts came in at 24th in said power rankings, which can be seen in the X post below.

So, via these rankings, here are where each of the Colts' remaining opponents landed:

Week 4: Vs. Pittsburgh Steelers 7th
Week 5: At Jacksonville Jaguars 28th
Week 6: At Tennessee Titans 32nd
Week 7: Vs. Miami Dolphins 20th
Week 8: At Houston Texans 8th
Week 9: At Minnesota Vikings 3rd
Week 10: Vs. Buffalo Bills 2nd
Week 11: At New York Jets 14th
Week 12: Vs. Detroit Lions 5th
Week 13: At New England Patriots 29th
Week 14: Bye
Week 15: At Denver Broncos 27th
Week 16: Vs. Tennessee Titans 32nd
Week 17: At New York Giants 30th
Week 18: Vs. Jacksonville Jaguars 28th

Seven of the Colts' final 14 games come against opponents who ranked 20th or worse in ESPN's Week 4 power rankings. Now, this doesn't mean they can write those teams off. Four of those games are divisional games against the Jaguars and Titans, for example, which will be more difficult than they seem on paper.

While they have the second easiest strength of schedule remaining, they still have some challenging games on the docket. They have two of the top five ranked teams, the Bills and the Lions, as well as another matchup with the Texans, whom they lost to in Week 1.

But hopefully, the Colts can take advantage of their friendly schedule and get back on track for a potential playoff push in 2024. It all starts with Anthony Richardson and the Colts' offense, which has to be better, or it won't matter who they play. I believe we will see the improvements, and I'm still hopeful that the Colts will end up having a very successful 2024 season.
