This is SPOOKY! Idolls Deliver Creepy NUTCRACKER-Inspired Performance on BGT 2025

The Britain’s Got Talent 2025 auditions took a haunting turn when girl group Idolls stepped onto the stage — and left the judges and audience in chills with their eerie, Nutcracker-inspired performance.

Blending ballet elegance with a spine-tingling twist, Idolls transformed Tchaikovsky’s classic into something straight out of a Tim Burton dream. Dressed in porcelain doll makeup and gothic Nutcracker costumes, the group moved with unnerving precision, their eyes wide and unblinking as they glided across the stage like haunted music box figurines.

The performance began gently, with soft pirouettes and classical grace — but it quickly shifted. A thunderclap. A music box glitch. Then came the twist: synchronized robotic movements, unsettling head tilts, and a distorted version of the “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” that had the entire theater gripping their seats.

Simon Cowell’s reaction said it all: “That was absolutely terrifying — and absolutely brilliant.

Amanda Holden praised the originality, calling it “the perfect mix of beauty and nightmare,” while Alesha Dixon said the group's ability to create an atmosphere was “next level.” Bruno Tonioli was left speechless — only able to mutter “spooky, spooky, spooky” with a nervous laugh.

Viewers at home were just as captivated. Social media erupted with praise and questions about how Idolls managed to blend horror, harmony, and high art in under three minutes.

Whether you loved it or had to sleep with the lights on after, one thing’s for sure — Idolls have made themselves unforgettable. If this is what their audition looks like, we can’t imagine what horrors — or brilliance — they’ll unleash in the live shows.
