Three players the Las Vegas Raiders could trade away during 2025 NFL Draft week

The Las Vegas Raiders are about to be very busy, as is every team in the league, as in just a few days, the 2025 NFL Draft is here. Every team will be trying to find players that can help them win both right now and in the future, but especially the Raiders.

Former Seattle Seahawks head coach and now Las Vegas head coach Pete Carroll has let everyone know that the Raiders will be competing now, not in a big rebuild year. And, you can't help but believe a guy that has done nothing but win -- same for general manager John Spytek, who won a Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

So, they are really banking on this draft class. And to get more picks in this draft, or in the next one, we could see some players be traded away this week.

3 Raiders who could be traded during draft week

Aidan O'Connell, QB

It was reported a week or so ago that the Raiders would try and trade O'Connell soon. That could be on draft night, or nights, or it could be before or after the draft. We don't really know, but the report didn't come from anywhere; several big-time reporters reported the news, which also makes it more evident that the Raiders would draft a QB late in the draft.

O'Connell has started a lot of football games and had some great games, like his one against the Los Angeles Chargers that saw the Raiders break their franchise scoring record, and his game against the Kansas City Chiefs this last year. Whoever trades for him will get a great backup quarterback.

Michael Mayer, TE

Fans may have forgotten by now, but Mayer was also a name that was reported to be shopped by the Raiders. He wasn't drafted by them, and they have Brock Bowers in an offense that won't run a ton of 12 personnel in 2025. He was drafted just a few years ago as a second-round pick, so why not try and get something for him while they still can?

The Raiders don't have to trade Mayer, though. If god-forbid, anything ever happened to Bowers, the Raiders would have a great backup TE ready and waiting, and Mayer is a much better run blocker than Bowers is.

Kolton Miller, OT

The Raiders haven't even started convos yet with Miller about a contract extension. Yes, Miller has been very good for a long time, but this is a guy who has never even been a Pro Bowler before, and he's going to ask for a ton of money. He's still a good tackle, but his body seems like it's starting to break down, even if he did play through them last year.

Playing through injuries is what has made him significantly worse. Last season, he was top ten in blown blocks. The Raiders could trade him away, relieve cap space this year, to try and do a few other things here and there. And, there are now rumors that the Raiders could be in the market for an offensive tackle in the 2025 NFL Draft.
