Transaction: The Boston Bruins Complete A Roster Move Following Holiday Break

Heading into the holiday break, the Boston Bruins faced one of their biggest challenges of the season, going up against one of the top teams in the league in the Washington Capitals.

The Bruins played a gutsy game and ended up winning 4-1, but the third line of Brazeau, Frederic, and Wahlstrom has been horrible for them in their two games they have been together.

On Friday, the Boston Bruins made a roster transaction, and it seems like head coach Joe Sacco may end up breaking up this line.

The Bruins have recalled Marc McLaughlin from the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League , and we may see him get back into the Bruins lineup for the first time since their West Coast trip when he played against the Edmonton Oilers.

McLaughlin has played nine games with the Bruins this year, and if he plays another one, the Bruins will have to place him on waivers, making him available for all 31 other teams to claim him for free.

There is speculation that this is why the Bruins have not been playing him recently but have had him with the team is due to once he plays his 10th game on the year he will require waivers to be sent down to the American Hockey League.

With the way the Brazeau-Frederic-Wahlstrom line has been playing for the Bruins, it wouldn't be a surprise if Joe Sacco breaks it up and places McLaughlin somewhere in the mix.
