We’ve seen her pop up on the show thanks to Whitney Rose’s love for drag, but she just made it very clear that she doesn’t actually watch. During a recent interview, she “revealed” how she used a lookalike for a Season 5 cameo. You could tell she was really excited to tell the story. The only issue is that everyone already knew…
The RuPaul’s Drag Race alum recently sat down on Sloppy Seconds with Big Dipper and Meatball. She started talking about her appearances on RHOSLC, and she made it sound like she outsmarted the audience in Season 5.
“Do you know what they did on Salt Lake City? I don’t even know if people know this,” Trixie teased.
She reminisced on how the ladies visited the Trixie Motel in Season 4. In Season 5, they went to her bar during the cast trip to Milwaukee. According to Trixie, production reached out to her hoping she’d make another cameo.
“I couldn’t go because I was working, so we sent the other Trixie,” she explained, referring to a queen who does a spot-on Trixie impersonation.
Trixie continued, “I said, “Just don’t put a mic pack on her.'”
In the episode, the ladies were greeted by the Trixie impersonator as they walked up to the bar. According to Trixie, she got flooded with phone calls and texts from friends about her “appearance” on the show. However, the show made it extremely clear that it wasn’t Trixie. When they got to the bar in Episode 4, the editors clearly spelled it out on the chryon: “Landon Lyric – Trixie Impersonator.”
Regardless, Trixie seemed to think that she pulled a fast one by summoning “the other Trixie.” She talked about the episode as if the viewers believed it was her. She claimed the Housewives were tricked, too.
“I don’t think I’m exposing it because to me it’s so obvious,” Trixie teased. “None of the women knew.”
This would be gaggy if this were true. Unfortunately for Trixie, the episode directly contradicts this claim too. Britani Bateman was the only person briefly fooled by the impersonator. The other ladies quickly told her it was a lookalike. Sorry, Trixie. You didn’t fool anyone this time!
