Watching a Cutthroat Sutton Stracke on RHOBH Season 14
There is no doubt in my mind that Sutton Stracke can be mean. But I’m kind of loving it. The Georgia peach walked into the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as this meek woman who struggled to find her voice.
But after she let loose about some ugly leather pants, there has been no putting her back into the pristine genie bottle. In fact, Sutton is holding a hefty portion of Season 14 on her shoulders, thanks to her dislike for Dorit Kemsley.
Dorit Kemsley was cooked like a twice-baked potato
I wasn’t sure that Sutton could use her voice further, but bless her heart, she found a way. During Jennifer Tilly’s dinner, which included a thousand-dollar baked potato, Sutton ripped off the bandaid and finally put Dorit in her place. The Southern belle was still fuming from her long wait in the lobby of Dorit’s home and the attempted snatching of her mini Kelly. Instead of enjoying the Caviar Kaspia kaftan party, Sutton struck gold as she aimed perfectly for her frenemy while everyone was at the lunch table.
So much happened at this meal. First, Sutton is peeved, noting, “You took my bag,” to which Dorit replies, “A little humor,” insert the cocky laugh, and Sutton imitates the laugh that could have won her an Oscar. Sutton doesn’t back down as she tells Dorit that she should pick on someone “whose wallet fits.” The verbal insult was confusing, much like her “Let the mouse go” plea but we got the message. Sutton is better than Dorit. Noted. But Sutton didn’t stop there and went as far as to call the fashionista “little Missy.” Sutton truly channeled her inner Regina George.
Sutton Stracke isn’t sorry
During the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Sutton doubled down. She told cameras “In the moment, don’t regret it. I was mad,” Sutton said “I reacted in a very aggressive way with the lowest insult that I could come up with in my brain.” And even though she conceded the insult could have hurt her co-star, she doesn’t think the remarks even phased Dorit. “I don’t think anything hurts Dorit because I don’t think she listens,” Sutton said. There is no doubt that an activated Sutton is giving life to the season. Fans thought the feud to watch would be between Dorit and Kyle Richards. Yet the real drama is between these two.
Sutton is tired of feeling like she gets two different versions of Dorit. All I see are lies, so I cannot deal with that kind of person,” Sutton said. “I think her life has been smoke and mirrors since I met her.” According to Sutton “It is much more likable and relatable to me than to just pretend like everything is perfect. And then all of a sudden, it’s not,” Sutton continued. “I don’t understand it That’s what my problem is with her.”
Sutton Stracke is a force to be reckoned with
Sutton is no longer the runt of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. If anything, her bite is almost worse than her bark now. The big question on the fans’ mind has to be: has Sutton been told to be rude, or is she just this insolent naturally? The fashion designer does not appreciate being talked down to, so I would argue that she is just defending herself to the best of her ability. For the most part, the rest of her RHOBH co-stars have preferred to imply how they feel but they actually talk about their emotions. Sutton has changed her tune during season 14 and explicitly tells everyone how she feels. Sutton speaks first and thinks later. This trait is what makes her so cutthroat.
Sutton isn’t only laser-focused on Dorit. She has made Kyle explain why she is sorry in an uncomfortable fashion multiple times. The thing with Sutton is she is just being herself. No apologizes. After multiple seasons of being the punching bag for the women, I am honestly surprised her calculated attacks didn’t happen sooner. Sutton is getting a pass from me as she is pure entertainment, and I am addicted.
