'We ain’t letting up now' - Raiders HC Pete Carroll isn't ruling out more roster moves being made

The Las Vegas Raiders' new regime absolutely aced the roster construction process this time around. The last few regimes didn't do a good enough job of that when they took over, but it's clear this one knows what it's doing.

The new regime knows a thing or two about successful roster construction when starting over and trying to make a leap. From John Spytek with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to Pete Carroll with the Seattle Seahawks, there is plenty of experience in building championship rosters. Now, this one isn't at a championship caliber yet, but they are making the necessary moves to get there.

And, who knows, they may not be done doing that yet. For all we know, they could trade for Jalen Ramsey tomorrow, and with my luck, it would happen right after this is published. But seriously, they may not be done -- this may not be the exact same roster we see in training camp.

“You’re either competing or you're not," Pete Carroll told reporters at mandatory minicamp when asked if he could see more roster moves made. "We ain’t letting up now. You saw that we just signed a guy, or got a guy committed yesterday, and we're going to keep working on it. There's no time to turn away from having a chance to get a little bit better. So, we'll be on it.”

They just added Germaine Pratt and even Jaylon Smith right before that, and that was slightly before mandatory minicamp and even during it, so, no, they are not afraid to keep making moves. And, at the time of writing this, we still haven't heard an update on how the meeting with Shaquille Griffin went.

There are still some holes on this roster in a few different areas, on both sides of the ball. So, I also wouldn't rule out the Raiders making a few more moves. Now, they may not be big moves, but that doesn't mean they aren't important ones.
