A text from Grace gave Liam’s loved ones a reason to celebrate!
Bold and the Beautiful recap for Friday, July 18 saw Liam open his eyes, Bill open his home, and Katie opened the floodgates.
Over in Liam’s (Scott Clifton) room, the nurse informed Dollar Bill (Don Diamont) his son was doing well. Better than expected after two back-to-back surgeries. To say he was grateful is an understatement. Soon after, Hope (Annika Noelle), Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), and Finn (Tanner Novlan) arrived demanding answers…and to see Liam. Bill was happy to oblige on all fronts. He told him about Grace’s (Cassandra Creech) miracle save and how her colleague may have saved Liam’s life
Once inside Liam’s room, Dollar Bill told them about the rushed procedure and that the doctor’s believe they removed the entire mass. All they can do now is wait for the MRI results and wish for the best. Either way, Bill refused to regret Liam going under the knife knowing it was their only chance for his survival.
Steffy and Hope sat vigil at Liam’s bedside and were near tears when he finally opened his eyes and talked to them. Oh, joy! What a miracle! Adding to their happiness was the much-anticipated text from Grace. Liam’s MRI came back clean, the tumor is removed, and Liam is in the clear. While everyone was overjoyed, Finn seemed a tad bit suspicious of this history-making turn of events.
A World Full of Worry
Meanwhile, Taylor (Rebecca Budig) checked in on Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) at the office only to have Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) interrupt their talk. To her credit, Brooke wasn’t there for a fight over Ridge. She was there to check on the couple and ask about Steffy to see how she was holding up. Talk soon turned to Liam and his impeding death. Taylor and Brooke were both worried for their granddaughters
Taylor suggested they delay the Italy trip. What happens if Liam succumbs to his ailments while Ridge and Brooke were overseas? Brooke agreed. She couldn’t imagine being away if the worst comes to pass. She needed to be there for Hope and Beth…as Ridge would need to be for Steffy and Kelly. In the end, they decided to play it by ear and their leaving would solely depend on Liam’s condition and stability.
Across the hall, Electra (Laneya Grace) and Will (Crew Morrow) rehashed the shootout at the art camp and touted Liam for his heroics. Katie (Heather Tom) joined them and celebrated Liam’s bravery. It was just too bad he survived the shooting only to face an early grave because of the cancer. Katie and Will cried over the thought of losing Liam and prayed Bill would come up with a solution. It seems Dollar Bill has yet to call his youngest son with the good news.
