What If Damian and Holden’s June 10 Fallout Was Just Step One of a Bigger Y&R Twist?

Will Lily fall for their con?

Young and the Restless Damian and Holden.

Damian and Holden.

Just as Damian was telling Lily he didn’t want to work with Holden on the June 10 episode of The Young and the Restless, Holden came in, overheard, and threw a hissy fit about how his former friend had betrayed him. Lily didn’t want to be a part of this bromance breakup (enough of that going on in the real world), so she gave up on trying to play peacemaker. But was this all part of the men’s plan? Here’s why we think there’s a plan. And what we think it is:

First Impressions

Remember how we initially met Holden (Nathan Owens) and Damian (Jermaine Rivers)? Holden pretended to be Damian when Nate (Sean Dominic) and Audra (Zuleyka Silver) came looking.

So, yeah, these two were lying from the start. And not only were they lying, but they were lying together. Why are we assuming they’ve stopped now?

Failure is an Option

Damian and Holden claimed they were furious when their plan to be double agents against the mysterious Dumas was foiled, and both were fired. But what if that was also part of their plan?

They’re working together by pretending to be working against each other. What better way to get folks like Lily (Christel Khalil), Nate, Devon (Bryton James), and maybe even Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Victor (Eric Braeden) to confide in them? And if Damian and Holden are getting intel from two conflicting parties, they can put their heads together and figure out a way to turn the tables on both.

Reality Show

And what better way to get that ball rolling than by publicly having a tantrum to prove how much they are absolutely, positively not a united front. They play-acted for Lily, and now she’ll tell the rest of her family. This is going to be easier than they thought!
