TV star Alesha Dixon is still living with her partner of 18 years, Azuka Ononye, despite their split. The Britain's Got Talent judge went their separate ways last year, but have continued to live as they did before.

They are still living under the same roof as they navigate their split and come to terms with single life. Alesha and Azuka were together for almost two decades, and welcomed children, Azura, 10, and Anaya, four.

She previously admitted she played "hard to get for about a year" while Azuka attempted to woo her after they met in 2006. Alesha finally gave in before reportedly secretly marrying her man in 2017. However, the pair called time on their romance last year.

Pals of the couple claimed they became "more like friends" as their marriage crumbled. Alesha took time away to focus on herself following the split as she enjoyed a £1000 a night stay in Jamaica.

A source revealed why the former couple are still living together as they told The Sun : “Alesha confirmed she’s split from Azuka and is navigating that as best she can. They are still living together for the sake of their family and are co-parenting."

Alesha revealed she had married Azuka while appearing on Michael McIntyre's Big Show Christmas Special. She proudly introduced him as her "lovely husband", yet neither have ever confirmed if a wedding took place.

The musician was previously married to So Solid Crew's MC Harvey for just one year. She met Azuka in 2006 following the breakdown of the relationship after she discovered Harvey had cheated on her.

Admitting on the Jonathan Ross Show in 2018, she initially played "hard to get", Alesha lifted the lid on when she fell for Azuka - quite literally - after recovering from a foot operation.

She said: "He was sleeping on the floor because I was on the couch, I couldn't even get up the stairs. If he can carry me to the toilet then he's a keeper.

"I had the foot operation and I couldn't walk and he was literally sleeping on the floor looking after me every day. I was just looking at him thinking: 'That is for better or for worse isn't it?' I looked a state."

Alesha gushed over her connection with Azuka back in 2020 as she appeared on Giovanna Fletcher's Happy Mum podcast. She said: "[Azuka] was the first person that I'd met, that I knew that we could have children together because of our values, our morals, our thinking aligned."

She later told HELLO! in 2022: "If you choose to have children, you are their first introduction to the world, I make a very conscious effort that my daughters have a very loving, supportive home with two parents who are great role models. I feel a sense of responsibility."

Speaking to The Sun about Alesha and Azuka last year when news of the split broke, a source said: "Alesha's been quietly telling people close to her that she believes their relationship is over and they're going to separate. She and Azuka have been together almost two decades but their relationship has become more like a friendship."
