Why Paige DeSorbo Left Summer House and More Shocking TV Exits

Paige DeSorbo Leaving 'Summer House' After 7 Seasons

There's nothing Paige DeSorbo loves more than watching a man squirm. And there's few things we enjoy as much as watching the effortlessly hilarious podcaster do her thing on Summer House

Which is why we're all out of giggles now that the 32-year-old has announced she's checking out of the Bravo reality series.

"You’ve seen me grow up over these last 7 summers," she detailed on her Instagram Stories of summering with the cast starting in the third season. "I’ll always be grateful for the memories, the community, and the opportunities this wild ride has brought me."

And yet, she continued, "like all good things (and some bad decisions), it’s time for this chapter to close."

Because the Giggly Squad podcaster recognized it was time to start a new story.

"There’s an end date for me at some point," she acknowledged to Glamour this past April. "With the lifestyle of Summer House specifically, I’m probably not fitting into the original show idea anymore. Whenever I see a comment that’s like, 'She’s a little too old to be on this,' I’m like, 'Yeah, I kind of am.'"

Though she's still committed to life in the city that never sleeps, DeSorbo requires the occasional nap.

"I'm probably not as fun to party with as a 25-year-old, and I get that," she continued. "I would stay on reality TV, but it's only fun and real if it's your lifestyle, and as I get older, I am straying away more and more from partying every weekend."

As for graduating to The Real Housewives of New York City, "I think it would be very hard for me to assimilate," she added. "I would never say never, but it's not something I'm working toward."

And she's not the only beloved small screen star to clock out of a hit show.

While we probably should have seen the death of Pedro Pascal's Joel Miller coming on The Last of Us, considering it went down exactly as it did in The Last of Us Part II, the 2020 video game season two is based on, we're still grieving his brutal end.

And don't even get us started on Peter Krause's Bobby Nash, offed on an April episode of 9-1-1

Of course, those are just the latest exits that left fans floored and more than a bit devastated. From Grey's Anatomy's Meredith Grey (sorta) to Yellowstone's John Dutton, check out more stars who exited stage left from the small screen.
