Wild Prospect Signs Two-Year Deal with Lahden Pelicans - BVM Sports

It was first reported a few weeks ago that Wild prospect Rasmus Kumpulainen was leaving the OHL to sign with his hometown team the Lahden Pelicans. It now is official.

The Minnesota Wild agreed to loan Kumpulainen, who signed his entry-level contract with the Wild a few months ago, to the Pelicans on a two-year contract.

Kumpulainen, 18, was a second-round pick by the Wild in 2023. He played last year in the OHL with the Oshawa Generals. Kumpulainen recorded 28 goals and 56 points in 58 games. In 21 playoff games, Kumpulainen posted three goals and 11 points.

The 6-foot-2 center will be at the Wild's Development Camp this week.
