(This day ahead recap episode airs in the USA on March 13. Expect spoilers! Recaps go live by 4:15 PM EST daily.)
Adam arrives at the new ranch to see how his father is recovering. Victor says he’ll be boxing again soon.

After urging him to take it easy, Adam tells him he was right that moving to the ranch with Chelsea was the best thing he could have done.

They talk about how good it has been for Connor and Adam admits he’s surprised that Chelsea has come around to seeing they could have a future.
It makes Victor glad to hear that. He thinks his son deserves happiness. Everything seems to be falling into space.
They discuss how well things are going at Newman Media and Victor admires his son’s parenting skills.

Part of Adam just wants to make his dad proud and live up to his legacy. Victor appreciates that more than he realizes.
He also admires the way Chelsea has reinvented herself. She’s welcome in the family.
“Where do you go from here?” Victor asks.

Adam says Chelsea seems open to the possibility of a reunion but it’s up to her. His dad will support both of them.
Adam is grateful that they are finally so aligned. His father is happy to hear that and appreciates everything he says.

Chloe is apprehensive when she arrives at the ranch to have breakfast with Chelsea.

Chelsea admits it took her time to get used to it as well. She explains that she and Adam are not officially back together but kind of on their way.
She tells Chloe what a great dad is. She’s started to see how understanding and unselfish Adam can be.

Chelsea knows that Chloe has valid reasons for not trusting or liking him. She wants her to tell her getting back with him would be a terrible idea.
To her surprise, Chloe says she’s lucky. Checking her temperature, Chelsea asks if she needs medical attention.

Chloe has realized that giving people relationship advice never goes anywhere. Besides, even she has to admit that Adam has been good with his son.
It looks like Adam and Chelsea are stronger together and she thinks she deserves some joy in her life. She’s sure she will make the right decision.
It’s a relief to Chelsea to hear her say all this. She is really happy, but is she crazy to think this could work out?
Chloe can’t imagine anything better than this working.

Adam arrives. Things are awkward with Chloe, who takes off for work, wishing him well.

Alone, Adam tells Chelsea what a force of nature his dad is and she says Chloe was very helpful.
He assumes Chloe told her to run. He assumes she’s kidding when she admits that Chloe has blessed their reunion.

He asks if that’s what this is. She tells him not to blow it. They kiss.

At Billy’s, he and Nick try to figure out why he would have got a text from the closed down medical facility.

When he considers clicking on the link they sent, Nick urges him not to. It could be a trap.
Billy insists this is their best chance. Faith calls Nick and he tells her they haven’t learned anything new.

He joins Billy on the couch and he clicks the link. They are shocked when it opens the video feed of Sharon and Phyllis.
They wonder if this is real. Billy is ready to rush off and get them but Nick worries that makes no sense.
Why would they take the women and then show them where they are?
Billy notices there is a link at the bottom of the page. When he opens it, there is an animation of a skull coming out of an envelope.

A text reads, “Who will pay the price to save the life of the mind?”

Billy and Nick get in a car and drive. They guess this isn’t about a ransom but something else.

This could all be a trap. Nick suggests they call Chance and fill him in. Billy does and the cops are on the way.
Nick and Billy are determined to get there first.

Alan sits in the park, watching Phyllis and Sharon in the clinic basement through a video feed on his phone.
“Good luck,” he chuckles.

In the GCAC, Traci tells Jack and Diane that she never thought she’d get married again. She goes on about how lucky she is and Alan texts to say he’s on his way back.

Jack and Diane couldn’t be happier for her and he gives her a hug before they rush off.

Alan arrives at his suite, where Traci is waiting with champagne. Pouring them each a drink, he tells her how incredible she is.

He’s a better man because of her and can’t imagine life without her. They toast.

After he looks into her eyes for a while, he pulls out the ring. Traci thinks it’s perfect.
Dropping on one knee, he tells her he loves her and proposes again. Nothing would make her happier than marrying him.

He slips the ring on and she thanks him for all the magic he’s brought to her life.
His phone buzzes with a message that there is an attempted security breach.
Alan and Traci discuss wedding plans and she suggests that they do it fast. He promises their future will be breathtaking
When he suggests she deserves a fairy tale wedding, she says her prince is all she needs.
His phone goes off and Tracy suggests he check it. He says nothing is more important than her and this moment.

In the clinic basement, Phyllis and Sharon continue trying to pick the lock of the door. They bicker as Phyllis jiggles with the lock.

When she thinks she’s got it, an alarm starts ringing.
They cover their ears until it stops ringing. Phyllis says there is no way out and Sharon insists their families will find them.

The redhead can’t imagine anyone finding them before it’s too late. Sharon tries to calm her down.
Realizing that their captor likes riddles, Phyllis looks at the last clue. They wonder where the card it was on came from.
It wasn’t there yesterday and neither was the poison Sharon was given. They figure out their captor has been coming in while they sleep.
Phyllis wonders if they come in and watch them sleep like babies. If they’d woken up and caught them, they’d probably be dead.
But if they are coming in, they could also catch their captor in the act.
If they can find the camera and turn it off, the “sicko” will have to come in.
Sharon worries they might only make things worse. They need to be smart. Phyllis says this is smart.
They pick up a book and pretend to be reading while they plot. They need to destroy the world their captor has created by turning off the camera and luring them out. Together, they can “bring this freak down.”
Jack and Diane go to Crimson Lights and talk about how happy his sister is. It seems like she’s found her perfect match just when she thought she’d be alone for the rest of her life.
He can’t wait for Ashley and Billy to hear the good news. Jack doesn’t think Traci could have written a better love story.
