Zayn Malik Shows Off Jaw-Dropping Last of Us Birthday Cake

Celebrity musician Zayn Malik has shared his impressive birthday cake shaped like a Clicker from The Last of Us video game series. Like Malik, other The Last of Us fans have commissioned baked goods inspired by the popular franchise.

In the past, former One Direction member Zayn Malik has expressed how he is an avid gamer. In 2020, Zayn Malik collaborated with Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells, a mobile puzzle game developed by Zynga. More recently, in August 2024, Malik was revealed to be the Shadow Duelist during the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel livestream tournament, showing off his dedication and skills in the card game. Now, in another act of love towards video games, the superstar has celebrated his birthday with a The Last of Us-themed cake.

For his 32nd birthday on January 12, Zayn Malik commissioned a cake shaped like a Clicker from The Last of Us and shared it with his fans on social media. Clickers are one of the most terrifying enemies from The Last of Us, yet several fans find them ideal for bringing to life through cosplay, fan art, and more. It seems Zayn Malik also enjoys the Clicker's scary design enough to eat it. The cake was made with incredible attention to detail by Elizabeth Rowe, also known as The London Baker. Rowe is a renowned professional baker who once won first place on Netflix's Is It Cake? reality show, so it's no surprise the cake turned out so realistic. Aside from the Clicker's bust, the cake is also decorated with a wall covered in Cordyceps, a small field, and Malik's name.

Like Zayn Malik, other TLOU players have thought that cakes shaped like the Infected can be appetizing. One The Last of Us fan baked their own Clicker cake with chocolate icing and fondant. Another fan commissioned a birthday cake covered in Cordyceps and a replica of Joel's wristwatch on it. While the franchise has been around for over a decade, The Last of Us grew considerably in popularity thanks to HBO's live-action TV show. The series has confirmed the release of its highly anticipated second season in April 2025.

Zayn Malik is not the only celebrity who has openly talked about his fondness for The Last Of Us games. Earlier in January, major artist Kanye West praised The Last of Us 2, saying it was the best game ever made. Sony has confirmed that The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered is landing on PC on April 3, 2025. However, players will require a PlayStation Network account, which has disappointed some fans.
