Boston Bruins Prospect Commits to Boston College For 2025-26 Season

Kristian Kostadinski is a seventh-round draft pick in the 2023 NHL Draft by the Boston Bruins who is ready to suit up for the Dubuque Fighting Saints in the United States Hockey League for the 2024-25 season alongside fellow Bruins prospect Jonathan Morello. Kostadinski attended the Bruins rookie development camp in July and showed great size and ability to fend off opponents with physicality. On Thursday, Kostadinski announced a commitment to Boston College, where he will suit up for the Eagles during the 2025-26 season.

The 6-foot-6, 220-pound defenseman spent the 2023-24 season with Frolunda HC in Sweden, where he collected three goals and 18 assists in 43 games as a captain. The Goteborg, Sweden native is tall and rangy and can make poised passes to start the breakout in his own zone. The left-shot blue liner is a heavy hitter and is one of many prospects who the Bruins covet due to his great size.

The 62nd-ranked European skater by Central Scouting in 2023, Kostadinski will get his first taste of hockey in North America, playing with Dubuque, who drafted the 19-year-old with the 16th overall pick in the 2nd round of the 2024 USHL Draft. Kostadinski will potentially play at Boston College with Bruins’ 2024 first-round draft pick Dean Letourneau next season. The 6-foot-7 center begins his freshman season at The Heights with Bruins’ prospects Oskar Jellvik and Andre Gasseau.
