Chelsea Meissner Shares a Career Update More Than a Year After Becoming a Mom

   

The Southern Charm alum also touched on a potential return to reality TV.

Although her single-mom duties have kept her quite busy, Chelsea Meissner hasn’t abandoned her career in cosmetology. The Southern Charm alum confirmed this during a recent Q&A on Instagram when a couple of fans asked if she was still working as a hairstylist.

“Yes.. 3 days a week,” she responded. “I still do hair however, I haven’t taken on new clients [in] many years.”

When she joined the Southern Charm cast in Season 4, the South Carolina native was working as a Charleston stylist with dreams of owning a salon and launching a haircare line. She spoke about her career in the 2019 winter issue of Charleston Home and Designexplaining what drew her to the beauty service industry.

“After spending some time traveling and learning things about myself, I eventually decided to work doing something I loved,” she said. “I’ve always thought that I work too hard to work for someone else, so I finally decided it was time to do something for me, something I would love waking up to everyday [sic]. Styling hair gives me the ability to be creative and help people feel great about themselves. It’s rewarding in that way. Being self-employed also gives me the freedom to travel, which is my true passion.”
