The Flyers should have this wish on their Christmas list.
The Philadelphia Flyers currently sport a 15-16-4 record and have lost seven out of their last 10 games. With the Flyers rebuilding, it is not surprising to see them in the lower half of the NHL standings.
Although this is the case, the Flyers should be looking to add to their roster if it helps them in the long term. Thus, they should have one big wish for Christmas this year – acquiring a young top-six center before the 2025 NHL Trade Deadline passes.
When looking at the Flyers' roster, it is apparent that they could use another skilled center down the middle to form a one-two punch with Sean Couturier. This is especially true when considering that stars like Travis Konecny and Matvei Michkov could use another playmaker to work with.
As we get closer to the deadline, it will be fascinating to see if the Flyers end up bringing in another center. Some interesting names who have been creating chatter in the rumor mill include Dylan Cozens (Buffalo Sabres), Marco Rossi (Minnesota Wild), and Trevor Zegras (Anaheim Ducks).
