Garcelle Beauvais Opens Up About Real Housewives Friendships — Says She’s “So Disappointed”

Garcelle Beauvais has been living busy life since The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14, and that includes navigating some changing friendships. After announcing her departure from RHOBH, the actress has since unfollowed most of the RHOBH cast members — and they have some thoughts about this.

Sutton Stracke, one of Garcelle's closest pals before the demise of their friendship, told Us Weekly in April that she wants the best for the mom of three. "I think we were all sort of in shock, but Garcelle is a very strong woman," she told the publication. "And so she's going to make her decision and do what she's going to do. I just want her to live her best life and be happy."

RHOBH Season 14 friend Jennifer Tilly spoke to TooFab on May 16, where she admitted that she was sad with the way Garcelle ended things. "I was so disappointed when Garcelle left because I love Garcelle," she said. "I got to know her a lot better this season. She's just so warm and wonderful. She'd laugh at my jokes, which is really important."

Although Garcelle has unfollowed the majority of the RHOBH cast members, she is still friends with The Real Housewives of New York City cast member Ubah Hassan. Garcelle took to Instagram on May 5, where she posted a series of photos with the model as they stormed the city and dined at Casa Cipriani.

"We're outside in [NYC] lol," she wrote in the caption of the post, along with the words "girl's day out."

RHOBH alum Lisa Vanderpump is still "pretty close" with Garcelle. During a late April appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Lisa shared her thoughts on Garcelle taking space from the current RHOBH cast.

"Listen, Garcelle leaving that show, it's obviously time for her, she was somebody important, or successful before and will be after," she said. "But unfollowing them? I think she's not a follower, she's a leader."

Details on Garcelle Beauvais' exit from RHOBH

Garcelle had announced her departure from RHOBH in a video posted to her Instagram account on March 25. "I have some news: I've decided to leave Beverly Hills," she said in the video. "It's been a wild ride — I mean, some amazing things have happened, and some hard things have also happened — but it's been a ride nevertheless."

She continued, citing her two teenage sons, Jax and Jaid Nilon, and her career for leaving the show. "Their last year of high school is next year and I want to be a part of that," she said. "And Jaid is starting a new career and I want to be a part of that too. Secondly, I have the most exciting projects that I am developing, producing, and acting in. I can't tell you anything right now, but you'll know soon."

Garcelle has been up to so many exciting things in the weeks since she announced her departure. She has been spending quite some time in NYC — in addition to hanging out with Ubah, Garcelle did some serious shopping in Manhattan. In a series of photos, posted to Instagram on May 2, Garcelle can be seen wearing the cutest pink sweater while exploring the city.

She also had some major fun at night time, attending a party during the weekend of the 2025 Met Gala, where she posed for photos, posted to her Instagram account, alongside actresses Demi Moore and Taraji P. Henson. "What an amazing party," she wrote in the caption of the post.

She's also now exploring her love of art. "I've been hanging out at a lot of art galleries and I love it," she wrote in the caption of a May 9 Instagram post.

But when she hasn't been traveling, she's been spending some major time with her grandson, Oliver Saunders Jr., the firstborn son of her oldest child, Oliver Saunders Sr. Weeks after she revealed the little boy would be graduating pre-K, she took to Instagram on May 18, where she posted a Reel of her celebrating the momentous occasion.

In the video, Garcelle can be seen walking hand in hand with the little boy, eating a meal with him, and attending his pre-K graduation alongside her oldest son and his infant daughter, Valley Marie-Claire Saunders. "Wouldn't miss this for the world!" Garcelle wrote in the caption of the post. "Jumped on a plane for OJ's preschool graduation."
