According to court docs from In Touch, a man sued Katie in 2016 for calling the cops with false claims that led to his arrest. The man said she followed him home after he shook his head at her for texting and driving. According to the man, Katie got out of her car and confronted him, so he decided to film her so he could protect himself. She then allegedly called 911 to falsely report a crime.

His lawsuit alleged that the police determined that Katie was the main aggressor and her claims weren’t true, and he was awarded a default judgment of $112,945.

In the current season, Katie shared she had proof that Heather called the paparazzi to take photos of her and her husband Terry, but Heather denied it. Heather later claimed that Katie was looking into her months before they met in person.

“I don’t know why you were trying to look into things about me months before you met me,” said Heather in a reunion preview, via Bravo TV.

Katie later stated, “I honestly, Heather, didn’t think this would be so rattling.”

“By the way,” Heather eventually added. “Falsely accusing people is kind of your thing.”

When Shannon asked what they were talking about, Emily answered, “She falsely accused someone and he ended up going to prison.”

“He didn’t go to prison,” said Katie. “Can I just tell the story?”

Though Emily started talking again, host Andy Cohen asked Katie to tell her side.

“The kids and I were driving in Marietta, Georgia, on a four-lane road … like nine, 10 years ago,” she said. “A man was swerving into our lane with his window down yelling ‘f**k you b**ch’ at me … I had three kids in the back of my car, they were little.”

“I pulled off on a side road to, like, let him pass me. He, like, went right in front of my car and started screaming at me. I called the police,” she continued. “The police said, ‘Can you leave?’ I put my car in reverse. He ran to the back of my car. He started filming inside of my car. My children are screaming, crying. My kids remember that day, it was terrifying.”

“He runs in front of my car when I try to leave. The police come in and they’re like, ‘Calm down, calm down … If you don’t calm down, we’ll tase you,'” she said. “He’s like ‘F you, F you’ to the police. They tased him and he goes to jail. I had nothing to do with him going to jail.”

She said the police tell a “one-sided story” about the event.

Heather, however, said the police claim Katie “followed the guy home.”

“I would never follow anyone home,” answered Katie.

“So the police are lying!” declared Heather, assumedly with sarcasm.
