ITV Britain's Got Talent's Teddy Magic update announced after semi-final absence
Britain's Got Talent has issued a huge Teddy Magic update after his act was postponed during the first live semi-final of the series
Fans of Britain's Got Talent are set for disappointment following an unfortunate update about young magician Teddy Magic.
During the first semi-final, Dec announced a "little change of plan" as Ant revealed that Teddy wasn't ready to perform. After a brief chat with the judges, the hosts promised to return to Teddy's act later in the show.
However, as the episode drew to a close, Dec announced that Teddy wouldn't be performing that night, stating: "[Teddy] won't be performing tonight but we hope to see him later on in the series."
It was hoped that he might perform in another semi-final, but it has now been confirmed that Teddy won't be performing in this weekend's live episode. He was also absent from last weekend's semi-final.
Viewers are sure to be disappointed, as last week they rushed to social media to share their concern.
One viewer previously said: "Another Teddy no show," reports the Express.
Another added: "I love teddy magic he is not on the semi finals 2nd week where is he guys???" as a third agreed: "All I want to know is Teddy okay after last week live show drama?"
In a fresh announcement, ITV has confirmed that gymnast Albert Amores, danger act Bao, singers Electric Umbrella and musician Rumac will be performing on Saturday (May 10) night.
They will also be joined by singer Mickey Callisto, dancers Harry and Lewis, singer Jasmine Rice and dancers Ping Pong Pang.
The eight acts are set to grace the stage, vying for public votes and the remaining Golden Buzzers from the judges, which would catapult an act directly into the final. Only two of these eight will join Olly Pearson, Stacey Leadbeatter, The Blackouts, and Vinnie McKee in the grand finale.
Kicking off this week's show will be the cast of Just For One Day, the highly-praised musical that delves into the backstage story of Live Aid, the most significant global music event ever.
Audiences can anticipate a dazzling opening before the show transitions to the West End later this month, following sold-out runs at London's Old Vic and in Toronto.
Last year's Britain's Got Talent winner Sydnie Christmas is also slated to make a triumphant return to the stage with a jaw-dropping performance.
She was previously Amanda Holden's Golden Buzzer pick for her touching rendition of Tomorrow from the musical Annie, before breezing through the semi-finals with her performance of My Way.
After delivering a moving rendition of Over the Rainbow in the final, she was declared the winner of Britain's Got Talent 2024, and has since launched a single to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
