Jim Bellino Says Shannon Beador Got a “Pity Edit” on RHOC & Wonders Why Alexis & John’s Romance is Spotlighted More Than Her DUI & Hitting a House

Jim Bellino is speaking out about claims that his ex-wife, Alexis Bellino, received a “bad edit” on the 18th season of The Real Housewives of Orange County.

Jim Bellino Says Shannon Got a “Pity Edit” on RHOC, Wonders Why Alexis & John’s Romance is Spotlighted Than Her DUI, and Admits Alexis Didn’t Come Off Smart on Show, Plus Reveals He Doesn’t Like Eddie Judge, If He'd Date Ashley Darby, and Describes Ideal Woman

Weeks after Alexis, 47, suggested that editing was to blame for her coming off badly on the show, Jim, 62, shared his thoughts while noting that Shannon Beador, 60, was gifted a “pity edit,” agreeing that Alexis doesn’t always seem intelligent on the series, shading Eddie Judge, 51, and dishing on dating.

“I believe that the psychologist behind Bravo and these reality shows will decide what they want a person to be when the show begins and they’re gonna run with it,” Jim began on the November 10 episode of the Behind the Velvet Rope With David Yontef podcast. “Shannon got an absolute f*cking pity edit. I’m sorry, but it makes me angry. What happened with the DUI, her hitting a house, allegedly, almost hitting I think one of John’s kids or something, there was a rumor about that. Why did the story of Alexis dating Johnny J overshadow Shannon’s issue with a DUI?”

According to Jim, he believes Shannon got a pity edit and Alexis got a bad edit.

“I think you gotta tell the whole story,” he explained, noting that most cast members shouldn’t be judged by what viewers see on the show.

“Some people, it really goes to their head. I hear constantly from people, ‘Yeah, so and so came in my store and they were b*tch.’ And if I hear the same thing 10 times about that person and it was a firsthand experience with that Housewife, I start to kind of believe it,” he noted. “But I like to treat everybody with respect and I don’t want to be judged.”

After insisting he believes Alexis is intelligent, stating that she “has her bachelor’s degree in marketing” and is a “great speller,” Jim admitted that she doesn’t come off smart on RHOC.

“I don’t disagree with that,” he shared, adding that he didn’t want to change her during their marriage.

“People are who they are, and so you evolve and you get older and wiser, and so we grew apart,” he explained.

Then, when asked if he was a fan of Tamra Judge‘s husband, Eddie, Jim replied, “No, I do not like Eddie.”

Moving on to dating, Jim was asked if he’d date Ashley Darby, 36.

“How little are the little boys?” he wondered, quickly saying, “pass,” when it was revealed that they were five and three.

As for his ideal woman, Jim said it’s “pretty simple.”

“I’m a giver. I like somebody that’s a giver. I like somebody that’s drama-free. I don’t like people that have a drinking problem or can’t deal with their alcohol. No weirdos. Just somebody that takes care of themselves. I take care of myself. Somebody that has good style. Somebody that’s funny and intelligent. Intelligence is really important to me,” he described. “I don’t have a specific look. Everybody thinks I like blonde hair and big boobs. That’s not true. I like whatever works, and a personality makes somebody more attractive or less attractive.”
