It’s obvious the Arizona Cardinals are being very cautious with rookie defensive lineman Darius Robinson. After suffering a calf injury on Aug. 22, he has had one limited practice and then was away from the team during his pen practice window after the death of his mom.
Tackle Jonah Williams, who suffered a knee injury on the final play of the first quarter in Week 1, was back on the field Wednesday after being designated for return.
The full details of the first injury report of Week 9 as they prepare to take on the Chicago Bears are below.
Did not participate
- T Kelvin Beachum (hamstring)
- DL Darius Robinson (calf)
It’s yet another week for Beachum not practicing on Wednesday although he has played all the snaps at right tackle in five consecutive games.
Robinson’s status was described as one-day-at-a-time this week, but he has missed nine consecutive practices since being designated for return from injured reserve.
Limited participation
- DL Naquan Jones (thigh)
- NT Roy Lopez (ankle)
- *T Jonah Williams (knee)
Williams was designated for return Wednesday and practiced for the first time since being injured on the final play of the first quarter in Week 1.
Lopez did not play against the Dolphins, while Jones was injured during that game.
Full participation
- CB Sean Murphy-Bunting (neck)
It was a slight surprise that Murphy-Bunting practiced in full after head coach Jonathan Gannon said before practice he would likely be limited this week. He did not play against Miami.
