Love Island introduces manipulative twist despite Dani Dyer tears and Ofcom complaints

Love Island bosses have introduced one of their most cunning twists yet during the infamous Casa Amor stage.

It comes after thousands of previous complaints to regulator Ofcom for subjecting the Islanders to "emotional cruelty". Earlier tonight, during a game of Raunchy Races, the two separate villas competed to win a party with a game encouraging them to snog various bombshells. Viewers saw Nicole Samuel devastated to learn that Ciaran Davies had kissed someone else, just days after they declared their love for one another.

In previous years, the Islanders were left guessing who might have snogged who. But this year, bosses decided to text them to let them know exactly who been locking lips.

With no footage of the game or Ciaran's behaviour in it, Nicole was left upset and wondering what might have happened. It will now be up to the pair to decide if they remain faithful to one another, or recouple with a new bombshell.

In 2018, more than 4,000 viewers complained when Dani Dyer was left in tears after being sent a "misleading" postcard that seemed to portray her partner Jack Fincham kissing another girl. At the time, the couple had been separated and were staying in different villas where bombshells had been introduced to test their relationships.

But after 2018's complaints, producers ditched the postcard idea and introduced 'Movie Night' once the Islanders returned to the villa, so they could sit down and watch footage of what they had all been up to. Nicole will be hoping they roll the tapes sooner rather than later…
