What's next on The Young and the Restless
On Monday's show, watch for Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) to try to outsmart Billy (Jason Thompson). Does she truly have a burning desire to rejoin Billy at Abbott Communications? It's hard to say, but one thing we do know is that hell hath no fury like a Phyllis scorned. She's none too happy that Billy ousted her and Daniel (Michael Graziadei) from his employee. Making matters worse was Billy allying himself with Sally (Courtney Hope).
Phyllis has been known to get what she wants, and she's been known to get even, too. Billy might want to look both ways before he crosses the street as long as he's got a target on his back.
Strategic relationships
Claire (Hayley Erin) struck out trying to get Victor (Eric Braeden) on her side in terms of her relationship with Kyle (Michael Mealor). We know that Kyle wants to join Claire the next time she goes up against her grandfather.
Watch for Claire to slow things down with Kyle on Monday's show. Is she having second thoughts about committing to him? Or is Claire playing the long game? Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) advised Claire to try to negotiate with Victor since that's how her grandfather prefers to play.
It's not great news in the short term if Claire puts Kyle off from moving in together. However, if she asks him to hold off then, the lovebirds just might end up living happily ever after.
How to survive a marriage
On Tuesday's show, watch for a development in Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa's (Cait Fairbanks) troubled marriage. The couple's in trouble not because Tessa has been spending time with Daniel while she's taught him to play the guitar. That's certainly innocent enough, right?
The conflict in the couple's life together is whatever happened with Mariah while she was out of town. She has confessed to Sharon that she did something unforgivable. Mariah doesn't believe her marriage to Tessa would survive her finding out. This story isn't slowing down. What Mariah did while away from Genoa City could come to light. The question is whether or not Mariah and Tessa's marriage can survive.
