Outrage sparks as Brad Marchand's dirty trip on Joseph Woll ignored by refs

The Toronto Maple Leafs have already lost Anthony Stolarz for an undetermined amount of time after he was elbowed in the head by Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett.

And now, notorious former Boston Bruins pest Brad Marchand has once again drawn the ire of Toronto fans everywhere.

Marchand tripped Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll, who replaced Stolarz, behind the net; there was no penalty called on the play.

Woll was seen arguing and pleading his case with the on-ice officials as to why there was no penalty called on the play; considering he could have been injured on the play, it's a legitimate gripe on his part.

It wouldn't be long before Marchand followed that up by giving Woll a snow shower:

Marchand was soon seen jawing with Maple Leafs forward Scott Laughton, who is already very acquainted with Marchand and clearly didn't appreciate his actions against Woll.

Marchand is already well accustomed to making life miserable for the Maple Leafs from all of his years with the Bruins, especially in the postseason.

Maple Leafs fans still haven't forgotten the impact that Marchand has made in all 4 of Boston's postseason victories over Toronto, including last year.

Will this year be any different now that he's with the defending champion Panthers? That's to be determined.

Right now, the Maple Leafs have a 1-0 series lead over the Panthers and hope to make it 2-0 before the series shifts to Florida.
