Paige DeSorbo Is Launching a Sleepwear Line: Get All the Details Here

The Summer House cast member reveals what's in store for her new fashion brand, Daphne: "It's a full-circle moment."

Paige DeSorbo is cashing in on her love for lounging.

On Tuesday, June 3, the self-proclaimed “bed rotter” announced the official launch of her first-ever sleepwear line, Daphne, named after her adorable pet cat. Paige spoke about the career move in an interview with InStyle magazine, explaining why she decided to enter the loungewear market after years of being on Summer House.

Paige DeSorbo explains how her Daphne sleepwear brand came to be

Paige said she always wanted to use reality TV to start her own business, but struggled to find a path.

“I would get really down on myself," she said. "Like, ‘I’m running out of time —what if the show’s not on next year? What if I’m not asked back and I haven’t put anything out? I was on this show, and I fumbled. I couldn’t even use it as a stepping stone.’”

Paige told the outlet she had been approached to launch several businesses over the years, but none of the proposals resonated with her or aligned with her personal brand. She eventually determined that fashion design could be her “thing,” and initially thought about releasing matching sets. But the more Paige thought about it, she realized she wanted to offer something a bit more niche, something that would allow her to stand out in a saturated market. “It was really more like, ‘What would my followers like?’ And I feel like we all align on staying in bed,” she explained.

Paige ultimately teamed up with Concept Brands advisor/strategist Kyle DeFord, who has worked with brands such as Tishman Speyer, Oxford Pennant, and Salvage Public, as well as fashion figures like The Real Housewives of New York City’s Jenna Lyons. And although Daphne is a collaborative effort, Paige insisted she’s involved with all aspects of the business.

“Well, it’s my idea. I want to be fully involved in every single thing,” she said. “I haven’t missed a meeting. I’m in all the text threads. I’m the final decision-maker.”

What will Paige DeSorbo's Daphne line offer?

The first Daphne collection will drop on June 10 online. The range will include camis, sleep cardigans, T-shirts, and PJ sets presented in muted colorways. According to InStyle, the garments — one of which is named after Paige's Giggly Squad co-host, Hannah Berner — can easily transition from sleepwear to casual daywear, as the silhouettes are equal parts relaxed and chic.

“This is one thing where I can say it’s a full-circle moment,” Paige said. “I’m so happy that I didn’t do it sooner because I don’t think it would’ve been as authentic as it is right now.”

Paige first teased the sleepwear line back in January, when she shared photos of a moodboard with fabric swatches. She reshared that image on June 3, along with the caption: “I made my bed now I’m gonna lie in it.” The carousel also provided a peek at some of Daphne's initial offerings and promotional images.
