Speaking with Us Weekly in March 2025, the Bravo TV personality said she hopes that the upcoming season can be “more fun” than last year’s dark turn that ended with a season 15 finale that left some cast relationships broken.

“Just a lot more fun and silliness and everyone put down their swords and let’s just enjoy the city and show how amazing New York is, is how fabulous it is, how diverse it is, how freaking silly it is,” she said. “I think I would just like to have a lot more fun.”

Whitfield also noted that there is a bevy of untapped women in the Big Apple who would be great for the show.

In addition to Whitfield, the 15th season of RHONY starred Ubah Hassan, Sai De Silva, Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank, Jenna Lyons, and  Racquel Chevremont, as well as Rebecca Minkoff, who appeared as a “friend” of the cast.

The most recent RHONY cast featured a group of wealthy businesswomen. According to Cosmopolitan, the reported net worth of the ladies ranged from around $1 million for several of the cast members to $5 million for former J.Crew president Lyons.

In the Us interview,  Whitfield admitted she’d like to see the total net worth elevated on the show.  “I  just personally request as a Housewives fan, I would just love to see people, with no offense to us, or people think that I’m rich, but I’d like to see stupid money on the show,” she said in the interview. “I would like to see some stupid money, like the money I see on jobs laying in the Hamptons, and also more delusion.”

A Casting Call Has Been Issued For RHONY

Whitfield’s comments come amid a potential shift for the long-running Bravo reality show. After two seasons with the rebooted cast, a source told OK! magazine in February that no one from the RHONY cast  “has been asked back yet or been given a contract for season 16.”

In addition, a casting announcement posted on Shed Media’s Instagram page teased the search for potential newcomers for the next season of the Bravo hit. “Now casting The Real Housewives of New York City,” a post from the casting company read in January.  “It’s that time…🍎come and get your apple.”
