According to Variety, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Jay Duplass have been added to the Prime Video drama Sterling Point in recurring roles. Morgan, who portrays Negan in The Walking Dead franchise, will appear as Joe. Meanwhile, Percy Jackson star Duplass, who plays Hades, has been cast as Steven.
While not much is known about Sterling Point, it is expected to follow twins who discover an island belonging to their alienated grandfather. Morgan and Duplass join Ella Rubin, Keen Ruffalo, Amélie Hoeferle, Bo Bragason, Daniel Quinn Toye, and Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie.

Sterling Point was created by Megan Park of The Fallout and My Old Ass, which is a promising sign for fans of the YA genre. Both movies have been well-received by audiences for their exploration of issues regarding grief and youth experiences, and have been boosted by strong acting.
Prior to appearing in Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Duplass starred in Transparent and Pain Hustlers. He has directed many movies and television episodes, including Cyrus and Search Party.

The YA genre has faced some obstacles over the years, with plenty of exciting projects eventually finding themselves in development hell, so the fact that Sterling Point is moving forward swiftly is exciting.
